Battle

Swearing, arguing, wars, they seem to be as essential to our lives as sleeping, eating and having sex. They belong to all peoples and all cultures. In the course of centuries, spread throughout the earth, many weapons have been developed, from spears to the atomic bomb. The world has suffered many such pains.

Battles and war are the result of fear of not having access to basic sources of existence such as food, water and accommodation. They follow from hunger for power or because of religious convictions. Sometimes out of idealism: battle for equality or freedom. Battle pays, believes the strongest party. But does battle have winners? Any battle, no matter how holy, involves many victims. Each war goes hand in hand with fear and sorrow. So what is the alternative? Whoever does not wish to throw bombs and spill blood, will fight using words, negotiate, will try to come to agreement.
