Museon’s collection counts about 1100 Indonesian fabrics. These are articles of clothing, but especially different types of cloth. Palembang and Djambi in South Sumatra, Tuban in north-eastern Java, Batak and Sumba are represented most frequently. Many of the cloths were bought by private collectors in early 20th century.
