The renowned Inuit collection consists of kayaks, sledges, hunting tools, weapons, clothing, ivory and wood carved work, masks, toys and drawings. The basis was laid back in 1932 by ethnologist and Nobel Prize winner Niko Tinbergen. Since the 1960s Museon’s curators have succeeded in further expanding this collection. Today it gives a good image of the continuity and change of an Arctic culture.
